BUS BARS

Bus bars are connection elements used in power transmission that guarantee a reliable electrical connection in tight spaces.

Straight and bent bus bars are made from copper, aluminium and brass.

Depending on customer requirements, these can take the form of bus bars, complex bus bar systems or compact bus bar packages.

Bus bars are used wherever energy has to be transported in tight spaces, around corners and on multiple levels

BRAIDED CONNECTORS

Braided connectors are highly flexible connecting elements for power transmission. Thanks to their flexibility, they have proven extremely durable against switching surges, oscillations and vibrations.

Braided connectors are comprised of interlaced individual copper wires (0.1 to 0.2 mm). The ends are crimped in bushings or cable lugs and can then be processed into individual connectors according to specific customer demands. Depending on the customer requirements, the surface is left untreated or given a silver or tin coating. When insulated, the braided connectors can also be manufactured in cable form.

Substation connectors are a simple and cost-effective solution for directing energy to the right place.

EXPANSION CONNECTORS

Expansion connectors are flexible connecting elements for power transmission that can also withstand powerful physical forces, meaning they also guarantee a reliable electric connection in difficult conditions.

Expansion connectors are comprised of thin layers of copper or aluminium that are layered on top of one another. After the ends have been press-welded, the connectors can then be processed into individual connectors according to customer demands. Electrolytic copper (>99.9% pure) is used, or alternatively oxygen-free copper and aluminium where needed. Surface can be left untreated or given a silver, tin or nickel coating.

CRIMPED CONNECTORS

Crimped connectors are used in electrical engineering to connect two electrical conductors together in a cost-effective and long-lasting way. The conductors are brought together in a hollow metal body and the connection is then crimped.

Crimped connectors are usually made of copper or aluminium.

Depending on the customer requirements, the surface is left untreated or given a silver or tin coating. Sefag Components AG manufactures elements for crimped connectors in a range of different designs and connection options.
